We offer a range of piling solutions suitable for domestic and commercial applications; pile type depends on loading criteria, access & engineer’s requirements.
With safe working loads from 45>375 KN:
1. Bottom driven cased displacement piles: Ø 100mm>300mm
(Includes the restricted access techniques, can be used to up rate existing factory floors to support greater loads.)
2. Sectional board piles: Ø 200mm
3. Top driven steel and concrete:
4. Odex
5. DTH
With varying ground conditions certain pile types will be advantageous over others, in some cases more than one technique maybe required to ensure stability at the base of the pile, and for the pile to reach the identified competent ground. We will be more than happy to explain in depth the techniques and methods to be adopted
High tensile steel combined with concrete which acts as a foundation bridging installed piles for assured permanent solid foundations.
The process of strengthening and stabilising the foundation of an existing building or structure. Underpinning is accomplished by extending the foundation in depth or in breadth so it either rests on more supportive stratum or distributes its load across a greater area.
A number of techniques are suitable, depending on ground conditions, access & engineer’s requirements
1. Twin pile and reinforced beam: used for walls with high loads.
2. Cantilever Beam: Used where it is necessary for underpinning to be installed externally and suitable stratum exists.
3. Raking and vertical: Used where access is only available externally, often used in conjunction with other systems.
4. Mass concrete underpinning: Used on buildings where the load can be transferred economically to firm ground.
Either above or below ground level, as part of an underpinning scheme or a way of creating openings,
Many applications in commercial sector
A form of underpinning which creates additional head room predominately in basements with the utilisation of concrete or concrete blocks for support.
